Intro
Brewing coffee at home doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, there are a few simple ways to make a great pot of coffee without all the fuss. Check out these tips and start brewing today!
First and foremost it will depend what brewing tools/equipment you have at home:
With a French Press:

The easiest way is to brew coffee in a French press. Just add coffee grounds to the press, add hot water, and let it steep for 3-4 minutes. Then press the plunger down to trap the grounds.
With a Cafetiere:

Another easiest way to make coffee for yourself or a group of people, no filters needed. Just boil water in the kettle, let it cool, add ground coffee, stir, wait 3 minutes for the coffee to brew et voila!
With an Aeropress:

This is for people who like a stronger coffee. Boil the water, add your ground coffee slowly. wait for 30 seconds to allow the coffee to tinge. Add more water depending on the quantity of ground coffee. After a 1 minute, stir it.. Enjoy…
(Be careful: The grind is slightly finer than salt. How you grind is important depending on the brewing method / equipment.)
With a moka pot: (personally, my least favorite as it can easily be messy)

fill the bottom of the Moka Pot with water up to the valve. Add your coffee to the filter basket and level it off, you can use filter or not here. I don’t may be that is why I get mine messy
turn the heat on. When the water boils then lower the heat slightly to produce a constant simmer. Once the pot starts to hiss, the coffee is ready. Et Voila…
with a Chemex or V60

The Chemex uses a thicker filter than the V60, which doesn’t allow any sediment to pass, creating the clearest coffee we have ever seen. The V60 filters, however, also create a clear brew, and are easier to find with your general day-to-day shopping. So we will talk about it like a one equipment,
- Boil the water and pour a small amount of water all over the filter to remove the paper taste of the filter
- We are at home. We will do it simpler. The rule of thumb here is the stronger you want it less the water and the lighter you want it the more the water you are adding also depending on the number of people.
- So pour water slowly in a circular motion until you reach your required amount of water.
- This process should take around 3 minutes for a V60 and between 3.5 and 5 minutes for a Chemex, depending on how much coffee you’re making. Enjoy!

Be Careful on the grind: The V60 grind should be quite fine, whereas the Chemex grind is coarser
Conclusion
Simplify your coffee brewing process with one of these easy methods.
